I am a fully registered SCSWIS childminder located in Kilwinning. I provide high quality care to meet the individual needs of all children aged from 6 weeks to 16 years. Places are available full time, part time, before and after nursery or school. Transport will also be available for drop offs and pick-ups from local nurseries and schools.

Hello, my name is Kimberley Burns. I am a highly motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic person who always endevours to deliver an efficient service. I have recently became a SCSWIS registered childminder after 3 years studying Early Education and Childcare at James Watt College before becoming a full time mum. I live with my partner Martin of 6 years and our daughter. We live in a 3 bedroomed house with a fully enclosed garden in the Whitehurst Park Area of Kilwinning. I have a wide range of childcare experience ranging from college placements within private and community nurseries as well gaining a good knowledge within an additional support needs school. During the summer of 2009 I worked as a project worker in an additional support needs summer scheme. I also worked as a relief play worker within an additional support needs after school care service. For several years I volunteered with my local rainbow's group and worked with children aged four and a half to seven years. I have also taken an active role in helping my friends and family with childcare over the years. As a registered childminder with SCSWIS, I hold a current and up to date registration certificate. I am also a member of the PVG Scheme and hold current Public Liability Insurance which is held with SCMA of which I am a member of. I am an outgoing, reliable person who enjoys working with children of all ages. I believe in working in partnership with parents / carers, as without their knowledge about their child, I cannot provide the play based curriculum which is planned around each childÂ’s interests, likes, stage of development and family experiences. I value my job as a registered childminder and IÂ’m grateful for the opportunity to provide a quality childcare service within my local community.
