Establishment: Skinny Sams is the brainchild of mother Alison Baumal, who became aware of a gap in the market whilst talking and listening to other mothers at the school gates and at children's parties. Alison comments "I realised that tights were invariably described as a frequent ‘must purchase’ for all types of needs and occasions. In addition they were often required at short notice for a specific outfit or special event, yet unlike many other items of clothing, they did not seem to be readily available online".
